Degrees Weather App Reviews
It’s been 15 months since the last update…I paid to support the app, but on Yosemite, it often gets stuck and retains the “onclick” darkened color. I don’t even run it anymore because of these issues and am looking for another weather app to keep in my menu bar. What a shame.
Random crashes and inaccurate weather conditions. Reports to software support fixed things, sort of. But whether or not this was in response to my report or just a coincidence is unknown since I never received a response.
Free App does not run
Why is it in the App Store if it no longer runs?
No longer works - Not updated in a year
The app has not been updated in over a year, and no longer works. Don’t waste your time.
Unless — °F means something, this app does nothing. I have re-downloaded it and tried specifying my location with both zip code and city, state. It still doesn’t work. (21.5” iMac with 20 Gb ram running El Capitan 10.11.4)
DOES NOT WORK. DO NOT INSTALL.
Avoid this app—it hasn’t been updated in a year and does not work with El Capitan.
Degrees app keeps disappearing from menu bar!?!
Love this app, but it keeps disappearing from the menu bar.
Cannot enter location
Like the other reviews say, it does not work any more. Too bad.
Doesn’t work - Manually or Automatically - Trashing
Dont waste your time with this one...
--°F
--°F Thats all I see, even tried disabling the "discover automatically" setting and inputting a major city zip code.....still nothing
Keeps shutting itself off & doesn’t detect location
This used to be a good app. Now it just shuts itself off. It also does not detect the current location. So, essentially, it does not work.
Seriously badly written app. Just doesn’t work. There is a feedback button, but even THAT doesn’t work…. gives a server not found error when you try to send it. I deleted it from my mac. Just hope it isn’t malware
Downloaded and installed. I was looking for a weather app that shows the weather in the menu bar of my Mac. It just comes up with - -F and YES I put my city and state in the location but it always shows - -F (No actual temperature shows) I tried putting my zip code in, no change, I clicked on “Show at start up” I restarted, no change I clicked find location automatically, no change it NEVER showed a temperature with every possible preference. What’s the use of this app if it doesn’t even show the teperature. I erased it and that’s that!
I downloaded this and typed in my zip code for the location (it’s in Seattle, so not some small podunk town) and I can’t get any information. The menu bar just says --°F on my menu.
I have the paid version of Degrees and since upgrading to El Capitan (10.11.5), it is no longer working. It does not find my location nor does it work when I enter it manually. The search icon flashes but then doesn’t update. The menu bar just has blanks. Very frustrating as this was one of my favorite applicaitons. I also tried to send feedback or get support with out any response.
I’ve tried all of the different options, and nothing seems to work. Emails to the support website listed on degreesapp.com go unanswered. I really wanted this to work. Unfortunately, I’ll be uninstalling this software as it doesn’t do what it says it will.
Doesn’t work
I just paid for the pro and neither the free or Pro version works. It wont load up the weather.
Not working
Does not detect location (nor automatically, nor manually), thus does not work.
Not always accurate, currently close in compairson to actual themrometer. Last summer it said it was 104 degrees outside but it was really only 81 degrees. The upgrade does not offer hourly forcast. I would consider upgrading if it did offer an hourly forcast because the projection is probably fed from a website. Currently it says it is 64 degrees outside but it is actually 73 degrees. Double checked the location and the location is correct. Just the main feture of current temperature is incorrect.
Simply doesn’t work. Doesn’t accept my manually entered location and doesn’t automatically recognize my location either, so displays nothing. Relieved it was free.
